Supporting women in their recovery 💙
Mid-Shore Restoring Hope in Women is a local non-profit that serves women in recovery on the Eastern Shore. Our mission is to help alleviate stress as women transition through recovery. We help fund women when they enter safe and sober recovery housing. Normally we host various fundraising events throughout the year to help complete that mission, but this year we have had to rely solely on the support of our local communities and their online support due to COVID-19.
In 2019 we organized our first annual Christmas Angel Tree Project that provided gifts for 35 women and their 45 children.. This year we have approximately 50 women we will be helping. In order to help these families we need your help and support.
This year, the recovery houses we are serving are located in Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline and Kent counties.
Women will complete a form that will request specific needs for their families. We feel it is important to help these women provide Christmas for their children during this transitional period. In addition to the gifts, we also provide them with everyday essentials such as toothpaste, body wash, shampoo. These will be items we will be collecting in conjunction with Christmas gifts.
We understand that a lot of families are struggling this year, but would still like to help. Below you can find different ways that you can help make this project a success for 2020!
Examples of donations that will be accepted are: monetary donations, gift cards, toys, clothing, toiletries, wrapping paper, volunteering time etc.
Please join us in giving these women who are rebuilding their lives in our communities a Christmas filled with love and support.

Mid Shore Restoring Hope in Women believes that every woman should have a fighting chance at battling her addiction. We're here to help alleviate some of the stress as they transition through recovery! We help fund women when they enter into sober living.
We started as two sisters who were searching for resources for our sons whom battled addiction, when we realized there was little to no resources available for women. We decided to come together to make a change and help support women in recovery. We started in 2013 just the two of us and have recently added more to our team.
The average rent for a resident is based off a weekly rent of $150. Here at Mid-Shore we grant each women $300 towards their initial move in costs. Move in costs range depending on the house.
Non profits thrive off of businesses and local community members such as yourself! Help us be apart of something bigger.
